Blue tit nestbox located in Ardrossan, Ayrshire, Scotland. Nestbox was used in 2020, and a pair have been showing interest in it again this year (2023). 24th April - nest building started. 10th May - 7 eggs visible. 11th May - 8 eggs. 13th May - 10 eggs. 24th May - 1st chick hatched after teatime. 9th June: 7 chicks appear to have hatched, and are well grown now with plenty feathers. 2 chicks left late afternoon on 12th June, with 4 chicks leaving early on 13th June. Sadly, one chick has died in the box - possibly the youngest/weakest combined with the heat.
